Hello, friends. As the title of this entry suggests, I’m somewhat of a rookie at blogging, but I feel like it’s about time I give it a go. Over the summer I had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Italy. While there, I took a travel writing class that taught me a lot about what exactly it means to be a travel writer. I learned that a blog is a great way to start practicing your writing skills and start making writing a habit rather than just a random past time. That being said, I don’t want to put any kind of pressure on myself to give this blog a specific theme, or set a strict schedule of when to post something new. For now, this blog will be my own small corner of the internet where I can write about whatever I want and say whatever I’d like to say. My goal is to post at least once a week, no matter what the post may be. Some posts will be longer, like this one, and others may be a short rant about something annoying one of my roommates did that day. Whatever the case, I thank anyone who reads this for taking some time out of their day to listen to the ramblings of a 20 year old English major trying to figure things out.
